Dr. Payne and four of the graduate students attended the American Association for Anatomy’s annual Anatomy Connected conference in Toronto ON.
Dr. Payne chaired a session on the role of innervation in tissue growth and regeneration with excellent talks from Dr. Mayumi Ito Suzuki (NYU Grossman School of Medicine) and Dr. James Monaghan (Northeastern) about the role of nerves in wound healing and regeneration. Dr. Payne also gave a talk that discussed some of the lab’s ongoing work using in vitro co-culture systems to model nerve-fibroblast interactions.
